【西德《燃料·热·动力》1979年11月号报道】西德卡尔斯鲁厄核研究中心为探测铀矿发展了一种新的钻孔探头。这种探头在钻孔时能就地及时地测定铀含量,而且还不受钻孔深度的影响和连续地记录探测结果。该法的探测原理基于 X 射线荧光分析。钻孔探头装有放射性钴源-57的γ辐射。钻孔壁受辐照后,铀原子受激发,从而产生一种特殊的 X 射线。目前,卡尔斯鲁厄核研究中心与西德一家公司合作,把该钻孔探头放在矿
[West Germany, “Fuel, Thermal and Power”, November 1979] A new drilling probe has been developed for the detection of uranium deposits by the West Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center. The probe measures uranium in situ in time and without any effect from the depth of the borehole and continuously records the results of the probing. The detection principle of this method is based on X-ray fluorescence analysis. The borehole probe contains gamma radiation from a radioactive cobalt source -57. When the borehole wall is irradiated, the uranium atoms are excited and a special X-ray is produced.
