“我是向全国人大常委会提出制定国旗法建议的代表之一,提出是缘于一位华侨对中国国旗的无限眷念。”李玉坤深情地告诉记者,那还是1985年的事情。那年6月,他曾在中央工艺美术学院进修时的老师、美籍华人罗斯·卡尔女士身患癌症,在生命中最后一段日子里,带着三个子女来到江苏如皋。她有一个夙愿,就是给自己每个孩子都留下一面国旗,让他们永不忘记自己的中国血脉。李玉坤陪着老师跑了
“I was one of the representatives who proposed to formulate the national flag law to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and proposed that it was due to the infinite respect for the Chinese national flag by an overseas Chinese.” Li Yukun told reporters with deep feeling that it was still a matter for 1985. In June of the same year, when he was a teacher at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, Ms. Roskill, a Chinese American, was suffering from cancer. In the last days of her life, she took her three children to Rugao, Jiangsu Province. She has a longing for leaving a flag for each of her children so that they will never forget their own Chinese bloodline. Li Yukun accompanied the teacher ran
