本研究通过99份玉米自交系的密度试验、不同耐密型自交系组配的六份杂交种的密度试验,对玉米自交系的耐密性及其与株型和配合力的关系进行了研究。结果表明,自交系的耐密性是一个综合性状,涉及产量、结实性、株型、茎秤等几方面,株型是重要性状之一;自交系的耐密性和配合力,是有效地选育优良耐密型杂交种的基础.因此,严密准确的自交系耐密性鉴定以及耐密型优良杂交种选育,均应通过密度试验的实际测定比较来进行。
