谈起中国画,笔墨惟高,似乎成了千年画评的铁论。然而追溯笔墨千年的渊源,穿过重重萧寒山水,我们不难发现,在绘画史上曾有秦汉盛唐的阳刚激越和磊落坦荡的画境,宋明以降,文人画的兴起逐渐演绎成萧疏离淡的逸笔玄墨和淡泊孤傲的意趣。追索遗失,开掘中国传统绘画艺术丰富的美学资源和发展新的艺术形式,成了新时期年轻一代艺术家自觉的历史使命。湖北美术学院的李峰便是其中一位勤奋工作又默默耕耘的画家。
