Recently, a message made the author feel a lot of emotion. Some farmers in remote areas go hand in hand to markets such as Shanghai and Nanjing to go shopping and enter supermarkets. Their purpose is not to shop. They want to see what kinds of agricultural and sideline products are most needed in cities, and people in urban areas are buying agricultural and sideline products. What are the needs in order to grasp the direction of future product structure adjustments. The author believes that the practice of spontaneous investigations by farmers into the city is worthy of praise. Farmers are the main body of agricultural and sideline production. This is perfectly justified. However, the long-term planned economy model has weakened farmers’ sense of subjectivity. Agricultural and sideline production is often not conducted according to market demand, but depends on the government.
