1980年元月初开始,在河南省对8个月到10岁儿童进行了宽年龄组全省普种(分三年三批完成一轮)并在5年后重复进行的办法以解决疫苗时期麻疹发病率在新的水平上长期停滞不降的问题,收到出色的效果。在疫苗总用量不增加的条件下,疾病迅速得到控制。开始的27个县,有26个县普种后三年的年均发病率与普种前同期发病率相比下降者占96.29%。下降50%以上者占92.59%,下降80%以上者占62.96%。22个普种县与19个对照县对比,它们1979年以前的发病率近似,分别为388.63/十万及387.57/十万。1980年以后,普种县的发病率降低到58.48/十万,较前下降了84.95%。对照县的发病率降低到193.50/十万,较前降低了135.02/十万,到了全部完成首次普种的1982年,全省发病率降到了25.33/十万,1983年又降到21.29/十万。1983年是河南省麻疹发病最少的一年。宽年龄组普种实质上是一种灵活形式的大范围再接种。每个儿童通过此方案接受2次再接种。抽查了此种再免后不同时期的血清麻疹血凝抑制抗体水平428份,再免后0.5年的血清抗体几何平均滴度(GMT)为15.40,3年的GMT 为8.25,4年的 GMT 为4.25,5年的 GMT 为4.66。抗体维持良好。这种普种形式是控制、消除麻疹的有效办法。普种性再接种可提供人群持久而稳定的麻疹免疫力。
