钛合金种类繁多,本文主要研究Ti—6Al—4V(飞机材料)和Ti—5Al—2.5Sn(宇宙飞船材料)的切削加工问题。钛合金的物理性质如表1所示,其密度约为碳钢S45C 的1/2。但导热性仅为1/5~1/6。故在切削加工时,切削热不易扩散,致使高速切削时,刀具寿命极短,不能提高加工效率。此外,已加工表面由于受到切削温度增高的影响,其加工变质层增大,这种加工表面质量低劣的材料就不适用于做飞机零件。
A wide range of titanium alloys, this paper focuses on Ti-6Al-4V (aircraft materials) and Ti-5Al-2.5Sn (spacecraft material) cutting problems. The physical properties of titanium alloy shown in Table 1, the density of carbon steel S45C about 1/2. However, the thermal conductivity is only 1/5 to 1/6. Therefore, cutting, cutting heat is not easy to spread, resulting in high-speed cutting, the tool life is extremely short, can not improve the processing efficiency. In addition, the machined surface due to increased cutting temperature, the processing of the metamorphic layer increases, the processing of poor quality surface material is not suitable for aircraft parts.
