在短短的几十年中,移动通信实现了从概念提出到全球普及应用的飞速发展,目前已深刻地改变了人们的生活和工作方式,成为个人与信息网络相连接的最重要纽带之一。然而,目前适用于移动通信的频谱资源已经分配殆尽,而用户密集化、业务海量化的趋势对网络在单位面积上所支持的总容量的需求不断攀升。单纯依靠物理层传输技术的改良和平面蜂窝网络架构的演进,已经很难满足这种需求。密集立体覆盖,作为一种依托未来城市形态而产生的全新网络架构,有望提供一种在平面之外的第3个维度进行复用的全新频谱复用方式,大幅度提升移动通信网络的频谱效率。本文拟初步探讨密集立体覆盖移动通信中的若干基础问题,阐明“物理”和“逻辑”立体网络中的若干挑战及可能的应对方法 。
In just a few decades, mobile communication has achieved a rapid development from the concept proposed to the universal popularization of the world, has profoundly changed people’s life and work style, and has become one of the most important links between individuals and the information network . However, at present the spectrum resources suitable for mobile communications are already exhausted, and the trend of subscriber-intensive and service-based mass-market demands for the total capacity supported by the network per unit area is on the rise. Simply relying on the improvement of physical layer transmission technology and the evolution of planar cellular network architecture, it has been very difficult to meet this demand. Dense stereo coverage, as a new network architecture that relies on the shape of the future city, is expected to provide a new spectrum reuse method that multiplexes in the third dimension beyond the plane, greatly improving the spectral efficiency of the mobile communication network . This article intends to explore some basic issues in dense three-dimensional mobile communications and clarify some challenges and possible coping strategies in the “physical” and “logical” three-dimensional networks.
