英语是我国教育体系中的重要基础课程,而学习英语的目的在于交流和应用,但反观当前初高中,甚至大学的英语课堂,学生沉默、不配合等现象却十分普遍,这完全与英语教学目的背道而驰。尤其是初中英语课堂,学生处于打基础的阶段,在此时表现出沉默,教师难以清楚地了解学生对知识的掌握程度以及兴趣所在,这对于其英语学习将产生较大的,甚至终身的影响。而打破初中学生在英语课堂上的沉默,改变教师上演“独白”的戏份,也成为目前初中英语教育教学中亟待解决的重要问题。本文通过调查了解目前我国初中英语课堂沉默现象的现状,分析其产生的主要原因,并以此提出打破课堂沉默的一些建议措施,以期能给课堂带来活跃,给广大初中英语教师提供帮助。

However, in the current English classes in high schools and even universities, it is quite common for students to be silent and uncooperative, which is totally different from the purpose of English teaching The opposite. Especially in junior high school English class, the students are playing the basic stage, at this time showed silence, the teacher can not clearly understand the students mastery of knowledge and interest, which will have a greater or even lifelong impact on their English learning . Breaking the silence of junior middle school students in English classroom and changing the role played by teachers in “monologue” has also become an important issue that urgently needs to be solved in the current English teaching of junior high school. By investigating the current situation of silence in junior middle school English classroom, this paper analyzes the main causes of the silence, and puts forward some suggestions to break the silence of classroom so as to bring the class activeness and help the junior middle school English teachers.
