本文基于语料库研究方法,对比分析了中国英语学习者与英语母语者在语义韵使用上的差别。依据现代汉语语料库(CNC)、中国学习者英语语料库(CLEC)以及自由堡-罗博英式英语语料库(FLOB),研究发现中国英语学习者更倾向于使用积极性词汇搭配CONTRIBUTE TO进而形成积极性语义韵,而与之不同的是,英语母语者在运用CONTRIBUTE TO时表现出一种中性语义韵。我们认为汉语的负迁移是导致中国英语学习者在使用CONTRIBUTE TO时持积极性态度的重要因素。本研究对英语教学、词典编纂以及英汉翻译都有一定的启示意义。
Based on the corpus research method, this paper compares the differences between the semantic rhymes of Chinese EFL learners and EFL native speakers. Based on the findings of the CNC, CLEC and Freeborders-British English Corpus (FLOB), it is found that Chinese EFL learners are more likely to use positive terms with CONTRIBUTE TO to form positive semantic rhymes. However, In contrast, native English speakers exhibit a neutral semantic rhyme when using CONTRIBUTE TO. We believe that the negative transfer of Chinese is an important factor that leads Chinese EFL learners to adopt a positive attitude when using CONTRIBUTE TO. This study has certain enlightenment to English teaching, dictionary compilation and English-Chinese translation.
