《航空史研究》(9)(1985·9)内黄京生的《我国航空事业先驱——潘世忠》一文中说,他的外祖父潘世忠在1911年12月获得了法兰西国际航空联谊会证书.1913年10月20日在北京南苑驾驶自己设计制造的双翼飞机试飞成功.《天津文史资料选辑》第27辑上载有蒋逵的《旧中国航空界见闻》.文中说,南苑航空学校在1913年成立后,飞行教官厉汝燕和修理厂厂长播世忠曾各试造成飞机一架.潘造的是发动机放在后面的法曼式陆上飞机.厉造的是在水面上起落的水上飞机.潘的陆机曾由蒋逵试飞成功,后由学员何土龙和蒋驾驶飞行过.厉造的水机因为没适当的水面,一直没有试飞.后来因为政局动荡,学校不安,这两架飞机就被弃置一边了,(此文又见于《航空工业史料》(近代史专辑)第一辑)
