Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological significance of the expression of Fas-associated death domain protein (FADD) in breast cancer. Methods: The clinical data of breast cancer were collected, including the follow-up data. The expression of FADD was detected by immunohistochemistry in benign breast lesions, breast cancer with or without lymph node metastasis and matched lymph node metastasis. The expression of FADD in breast cancer and breast cancer Patient age, tumor size, clinical stage, histological type and grade, estrogen and progesterone receptor levels and other clinicopathological parameters. Results: The positive rate of FADD expression in benign breast lesions group (85.1%, 40/47) and breast cancer without lymph node metastasis (45.8%, 38/83) in benign breast lesions group, breast cancer with lymph node metastasis The positive rates of FADD were significantly different between the two groups (67.3% 72/107) and the lymph node metastases (45.8%, 49/107) (P <0.001, respectively = 0.022 and <0.001, respectively) (P = 0.003, <0.001 and 0.022, respectively) in the breast cancer group. The positive rate of FADD in the breast cancer group was also significantly different from that in the other three groups. FADD was significantly associated with age at diagnosis (P = 0.049) and lymph node metastasis (P = 0.003), but not with tumor size, clinical stage, histological type, histological grade, estrogen / progesterone receptor, and cerb B- There was no significant correlation between the expression and menstrual history (P> 0.05). Survival analysis showed shorter survival in FADD-positive patients than in FADD-negative patients. Conclusion: FADD is associated with lymph node metastasis and prognosis of breast cancer.
