早期的“气压式”快门线只是一根气球连通导管,透过挤压气球产生压力,推动远程快门达到拍照的目的,这种方式虽然简单、成本低,但是可靠性差。后来开发出了中空包覆钢线的“钢索式”快门线,配合机身快门上的螺旋孔紧密地结合,让快门线的表现更可靠。随着数码相机时代的来临,快门线的发展也摆脱单一的功能,有了更复杂的应用。
