666是多种异性体的混合物,其中以γ-异性体的功效最大,因此要知道某种666的功效怎样,必须先测求其中-γ异性体含量多少。以前测求方法大都根据红外线的吸收,或用生物试验法,都不适用于普通化验室的,后来La Clair 利用各种异性体对于乙醇氢氧化钾溶液作用快慢之不同,设法测求γ-异性体之大概含量,(Anal.Chem.20 241—5,1948),手续简便,普通化验室中加上一只冰箱,就可进行工作。详细步骤已由续君译出,载于本刊第五卷第七期第五页。不过此法只适用于没有渗入其他氯化物的试样,倘666中混有DDT 等,那La Clair 法即不能应用。
