国家教委印发的《大学英语教学大纲》,明确规定了大学英语教学应达到的目的是:“培养学生具有较强的阅读能力,一定的听的能力,初步的写和说的能力”,即《大纲》对读写听说四种能力提出的三个层次的具体要求。大学英语的教学分为精读、泛读、快速阅读、语法与练习和听力五种教程。从开设的课程及《大纲》的要求来看,很显然阅读被列为听、说、读、写四种技巧之首。但是,现行英语教材内容较多,且课时时数有限,如何处理好阅读与其他技巧的训练,难度较大,特别是专科学校开设《大学英语》,难度更大。其关系处理的好坏,将直接影响教师的教学效果和学生的学习成绩。

However, the existing English textbooks contain more content and the duration of classes is limited. It is more difficult to handle the training of reading and other skills well. In particular, college English is more difficult to set up. The relationship between the quality of treatment will directly affect the teaching effectiveness of teachers and students’ academic performance.
