将4月龄花玛丽鱼(Molliensia Velifera)300尾随机分成6组,每组50尾,设1对照组和5个处理组,各处理组饲料在对照组饲料的基础上分别添加100mg/kg、200mg/kg、300mg/kg、400mg/kg、500mg/kg的类胡萝卜素(Caerotenoids),在近2个月的试验中,每隔7 d从每一组中随机抽取5-6尾鱼测定鱼体肌肉中所含类胡萝卜素的量,通过对鱼体体色的对比观察和鱼体肌肉中所沉积的类胡萝卜素量的比较,结果表明:花玛丽鱼饮料中添加类胡萝卜素的最适添加量为4mg/kg。
