表面工程技术是以废旧产品为对象,在保持零(部)件材质和形状基本不变的情况下,运用多种技术工艺方法制备出优于本体材料性能的再制造技术。虽然进行再制造的过程也要消耗部分能源、材料和一定的劳动投资,但充分挖掘了蕴含在零(部)件中的材料、能源和加工附加值,使之再制造的产品性能达到或超过新品。冶金设备多是在高温、高压、高负荷、高磨损条件下工作,表面工程技术在冶金行业中的应用范围广、潜力大。
