民族区域自治法的修改，是我国政治生活中的一件大事，是新世纪初我国社会主义民主和法制建设的一项新成果，标志着我国的民族区域自治制度的建设进入了一个新阶段。全面贯彻实施民族区域自治法，毫不动摇地坚持和完善民族区域自治制度是当前我国民族工作面临的一项重要任务。
The revision of the law on regional autonomy of ethnic minorities is a major event in our political life and a new achievement in the construction of socialist democracy and legal system in our country in the beginning of the new century, marking a new stage in the construction of the system of ethnic regional autonomy in our country. To comprehensively implement the Law on Regional National Autonomy and unswervingly adhere to and improve the system of regional autonomy of ethnic minorities is an important task currently facing our ethnic work.
