Because he is the youngest of the four brothers in his family, his three brothers have been killed in succession. The senior generals of the army were afraid that this single seed would lead to the unexpected and despair of the sad mother, thus making a decision to return the only son to her mother at all costs ... The director focused on depicting human relations and human nature in the war which performed. Critics generally agree that the film is the best war film ever. However, some people think that there are too many bloody scenes in the picture, and the director thinks he only shows the cruelty of the war.
