犹太历史上曾经历过一个“摩西时代”。这个时代是犹太人从部落向国家过渡的重要转折时期。在社会转型期 ,人的生活方式、道德准则也必然要经受考验。除旧布新 ,时代使然。“摩西”对犹太婚姻旧俗的革命也是如此。“摩西”之前 ,犹太人婚姻的主要形式已发展到父系家长制下的一夫一妻制 ,然而 ,还存在许多婚姻陋习 ,与社会的整体进步格格不入。《利未记》第 18章中 ,“摩西”向他的族人提出了“勿乱骨肉之亲”的婚姻禁忌。变革之后 ,犹太人基本摒弃了其传之已久的婚姻陋习。
Jewish history has experienced a “Moses era.” This era is an important turning point for the Jewish transition from the tribe to the nation.
