内蒙古自治区成立以来,特别是党的十一届三中全会以来,全区经济取得了长足发展。但与全国相比,还有很大差距。只有抓住机遇、加快发展,才能逐步缩小和消灭差距。地处边疆的内蒙古稳定与否,关键是把经济搞上去。只有经济发展了,社会主义制度的优越性才能得以充分体现。民族团结才能巩固,边疆才能稳定。因而,加快发展,不仅是个经济问题,也是个政治问题。 Since the founding of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, especially since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, the economy of the entire region has made great strides. But compared with the whole country, there is still a big gap. Only by seizing the opportunity and accelerating development can we gradually narrow and eliminate the disparity. Inner Mongolia, located in the frontier or not, the key is to keep the economy going. Only when economic development has developed can the superiority of the socialist system be fully demonstrated. National unity can consolidate and the frontier can be stabilized. Therefore, speeding up development is not only an economic issue but also a political issue.
