“Love” is the last novel of British novelist Paul Scott, won the 1977 Booker Prize for Literature. Based on the 1970s, its value lies in its artistic reflection on the impact of colonial British-Indian relations on the post-colonial period. The article aims to analyze the contradictory complex of Paul Scott in “Love”, condemning the colonial rule of the British Empire on the one hand, but at the same time can not get rid of and avoid the influence of the Western collective consciousness formed by the Eurocentrism and colonialism consciousness, This makes the novel full of ambivalence.
