To understand the pathways of organ sensory information in the pelvis, projection of the lateral lumbosacral medulla oblongata to the parabrachial nucleus of the rat’s lumbosacral medulla was studied using dextran amine (BDA) biotinylated tranexamic tracer. After injection of BDA into the medial zone, the terminal axonal markers marked by anterograde appeared in the parabrachial nucleus on both sides and slightly on the same side. A large number of BDA-labeled axons eventually appear outside the lateral nucleus and lateral of the lateral parabrachial nucleus
