本研究通过在玉米果穗生长发育阶段使用乙烯类药剂喷施植株处理，表明过量的乙烯可导致玉米果穗发育畸形，穗粒数减少。证明乙烯不利于果穗和籽粒发育，也是引起籽粒败育的一个重要因素。因此在玉米大田中使用这类药剂降低株高、调节株型、防止倒伏时，一定要慎重，既要严格控制剂量，又要掌握使用时期。
In this study, ethylene treatment was applied to the ear during the growth and development of maize ear, indicating that excessive ethylene could lead to malformation of ear and reduce the number of grains per ear. It is proved that ethylene is not conducive to the development of ear and grain, which is also an important factor that causes the abortion of grain. Therefore, the use of such chemicals in corn field to reduce plant height, plant type, to prevent lodging, we must be careful, it is necessary to strictly control the dose, but also to master the use of time.
