Through the observation of the narration, industry and media of African local films, this paper revisits the movie as a topic of social practice. Specifically, the social practice of African films embodies three aspects: first, the involvement of African local films in daily life effectively participates in social issues; and secondly, the foundation of the film production and distribution methods such as Nollywood The film function as a public sphere. The film function creates a public space for discussion of current social events. It also stimulates social and film interaction. Thirdly, media such as Pan-African Film and Television Festival “Movie vs social dimension ” touch and influence, deepen the social function of the movie. This multi-faceted involvement and participation also confirm the point that Uthman Sempain believes: “The role of the film in the Third World is a cultural propaganda weapon and a tool to express the development of public awareness.”
