悬臂施工法是预应力混凝土连续梁桥、连续刚构桥的主要施工方法。对于预应力混凝土连续梁桥、连续刚构桥来说,采用悬臂施工法施工虽有许多优点,但是,这类桥梁的形成要经过一个复杂的过程。当跨数增多,跨径进一步增大时,新的问题也接踵而至。例如:如何保证合拢前两悬臂端竖向挠度的偏差和主梁轴线的横向偏移不超过容许范围;如何保证合拢后的桥面线形良好;如何避免施工中主梁截面出现过大的应力;这些问题若处理不当,不仅会对结构受力不利,而且可能会使主梁梁底曲线不顺畅,形成永久性缺陷而影响外形美观。为了解决好这些问题,唯一的办法就是对施工过程实施控制。
