殷宏章原籍贵州,1908年10月1日生于山东,1929年毕业于天津南开大学,获学士学位,留校任教。1933年在北京清华大学当研究生,以后又在南开大学任讲师。1935年考取清华大学留美公费,赴美国加州理工学院留学,两年后获得博士学位。1938年至1945年任昆明西南联大教授兼清华大学农业研究所研究员。1944年至1945年曾任英国剑桥大 Yin Hongzhang native Guizhou, born in October 1, 1908 in Shandong Province, graduated from Tianjin Nankai University in 1929, received a bachelor’s degree, to teach in school. 1933 Tsinghua University in Beijing as a graduate student, later as a lecturer at Nankai University.
