Since the 1980s, China’s airport construction has seen unprecedented development, with a total of 60 newly built and expanded airports of nearly 60 from 1979 to 1994. By the end of 1994, China’s total number of civil airports reached 119, of which 13 were 4E airports , 28 airports at 4D, 31 at 4C and 31 airports at 3C in 2008.
