The Melase1000 laser for foot moisture treatment, developed by the research team at Fukui University and Shibuya Industries (industrial laser manufacturer), has recently been approved as a medical device by Japan’s health authorities and followed up at two medical institutes use. CO 2 laser with a wavelength of 10.6μm, just like the far-infrared light of the same wavelength, can irradiate the surface of the plantar or foot plantar to kill the mold there. The heat generated by the laser absorbs a large amount in a layer 50 to 100 μm deep from the epidermis where there is no nerve group sensitive to heat
