作者用光镜,透射电镜分别观察了根尖肉芽肿22例和18例,根尖囊肿18例和8例,并用扫描电镜观察了这两类病变各8例的根部吸收和修复情况.结果是病变中大多数是淋巴和浆细胞,中等量的巨噬和肥大细胞,较少的粒细胞;马氏上皮剩余仅在35%的根尖肉芽肿内可见,并很少增生;牙根的吸收在肉芽肿和囊肿的电镜观察中没有差别,可以仅累及牙骨质,也可累及牙本质,吸收的陷窝内缺乏上皮和结缔组织。因此,作者认为马氏上皮剩余在根尖肉芽肿中所起的作用不大,根部的吸收可由牙骨质修复。
