Alice Kerry is one of the few women writers in the United States to take a living as a writer before the Civil War. Her works are unique in style and have been praised and praised by ordinary readers and literary masters during her lifetime. However, after the rise of modernism, Kerry was obliterated in the rapidly rising number of new-generation writers. In the postmodern context after the mid-20th century, especially in the 1980s, the works of women regained their attention again. As a writer of regional literary works and a pioneer of realistic literature, Kerry presented the reader with a detailed picture of rural life in his sketches of frontier life in the pioneering period of the United States. This article introduces Carrie ’s life and his major works with a view to arousing the attention of other scholars to the writer and providing the necessary background and bedding for Carrey’ s research in the future.
