花椒育苗处理方法较多,而花椒“开水浸种”处理催芽育苗,具有出苗整齐,苗期缩短,出苗率高等优点。新平县平开乡古城村马文,接受笔者介绍的这种方法育苗,从1984年开始,首次试用即获成功,出苗率达95％以上,先后几年向山区农民供应优质花椒壮苗5万余(袋)株。现简介此法如下: 一、选采良种。在秋天采摘花椒,选取外皮呈紫红色的种子,摊开置放于干燥、通风处,待种皮裂开,轻敲脱种,除去杂物收贮。但切忌曝晒,以防降低发芽率。
