“The death of a salesman” is the most important work of American playwright Arthur Miller’s life. She is the perfect combination of realism and expressionism in performance technique, and has set a record of 742 performances. However, the adaptation of the film based on the script of the same name did not cause the expected sensation. The main reason why the play shines on the stage but is dull on the screen lies in the different comprehension levels and skills of the writers on the expressionist dramas. Therefore, both the stage play and the movie should fully reflect the original The theme at the same time, try to create the best artistic effect, content and form are indispensable.
