海洋学和气象学是孪生姊妹,所以这一次作一点海洋学方面的报告,或许离题并不太远,这也可以说是一点介绍性的报告。以下可以分作三部分,但内容则偏重在物理海洋学方面。(一)发展上海洋学和气象学的关系:无论就内容方面,方法方面或应用方面,两者是非常相似的,同时在发展上也是互相诱导,互相辅助的。海洋和大气都是流体,不过压缩性和密度相差甚大。海洋中主要的变量是温度,压力,盐分;大气中主要的变量是气温,气压,水汽。海洋的成分中盐分的改变较大,影响也大;大气的成分中水汽的改变较大,影响更大。海洋学中海洋生物学和潮汐学是两个大的分支,关于潮汐方面有潮汐的分析和预告;气象学中有相当的两个分支,即农业气象学和大气潮汐,但后者在
