临期食品存在一定风险性,不加强监管不足以保障人民群众对生命健康安全的需求,然而由于临期食品尚在保质期内,仍属于合格食品,且国家对临期食品监管没有明确的法律规定,直接导致临期食品监管无法可依,监管成本高,监管难度大等。因此,为了避免临期食品监管的困境,建议在修改食品标签通则时,将保质期修改为食品最佳食用日期与保质日期。
