公民消费主义运动已是大势所趋,消费者已经意识到他们的消费行为如同选票一样,可以改变社区和世界商业世界必须重视的一个现实是,消费者的公民意识崛起了!自大萧条以来最严重的经济危机、BP墨西哥湾石油泄漏事件、三聚氰胺毒奶粉事件、瘦肉精事件和日本的核电站危机,加上全时在线的社交网络等微信息平台,更加速了这个进程。公民消费主义时代的消费者不再过分追求效用最大化,而是更加强调产品这种企业行为和消费行为中的外部效应、环境影响、可持续性发展因素和社会责任。
