虽然伍尔夫通常被认为是一个典型的现代派小说家,主要关注人类的内心世界和内在思想而忽略了外在的物质世界与现实社会,但她的文学作品其实含有丰富的伦理意识和伦理思考。因此,对伍尔夫主要的意识流小说进行伦理解读是值得界定和研究的。本文从文学伦理学的角度出发,通过文本细读的方法来分析伍尔夫重要的意识流小说《到灯塔去》所蕴含的伦理思想,以试图从一个新的角度解读伍尔夫。通过借助文学伦理学批评方法,人们能够更深刻地理解伍尔夫本人和她的文学作品,探索那些通常被以前的批评家和学者忽略的伦理内涵。
Although Woolf is generally regarded as a typical modernist novelist who mainly focuses on the inner world and inner thoughts of mankind while neglecting the external material world and the real society, Woolf’s literary works actually contain rich ethical awareness and ethics Thinking. Therefore, it is worth to define and study Woolf’s ethical interpretation of the major stream of consciousness novels. This article tries to analyze Woolf from a new perspective by analyzing the ethical thoughts contained in Woolf ’s important stream - of - consciousness novel “To the Lighthouse” from the perspective of literary ethics. Through the method of literary ethics criticism, people can understand Woolf himself and her literary works more deeply and explore the ethical connotations that are usually neglected by the former critics and scholars.
