本矿区位于新疆东部方山口西约90公里。构造上处于天山中央隆起带之南,北山(断块)地槽褶皱带之西段。地层褶皱紧密,断裂发育。区内地层主要为蓟县系平头山群、寒武一奥陶系、石炭系、二叠系等。石炭纪、二叠纪皆有岩浆活动,尤以晚二叠世最为频繁,先喷溢后侵入,形成磁海杂岩带。晚期的中酸性、碱性岩浆活动与磁海铁矿的关系密切(图1)。原认为区内只有蓟县系和下二叠统等地层。由于我们采集到珊瑚及植物等化石,故对其中部分地层时代提出异议。区内第四系覆盖广、褶皱复杂,地层多为陡倾,产状变化无常,断
The mining area is located about 90 kilometers west of Fangshankou in eastern Xinjiang. The structure is located in the Tianshan central uplift of the south, Kitayama (fault block) to the western fold belt zone. Stratified fold, fracture development.
