Chemotherapy has become one of the two major means of controlling tuberculosis today, the result of extensive research and practice in decades of basic theory, clinical and prevention and treatment. Especially in the past 30 years, the rapid development of chemotherapy for tuberculosis has achieved eight major milestones. These “milestones” are both linked and innovative because they are all targeted at different periods of chemotherapy The different problems that have occurred are the results of the research. Similarly, short-course chemotherapy is a “new milestone” in scientific research and achievements in solving certain problems in chemotherapy under the specific “historical background”. Some people call it a revolution in chemotherapy.
