在欢庆国家自然科学基金委员会成立10周年的1996年,管理科学部在原来管理科学组的基础上正式成立了。这是从事管理和管理科学的广大科技人员和专业人员的一件大喜事,是原管理科学组有关人员10年努力和呼吁的结果,也是我国管理科学走向一个新的起点的开始。 我有幸作为原管理科学组学科评审组成员多年,今天对管理科学部能够正式成立感到分外兴奋,心中也不禁油然想起曹雪芹写《红楼梦》时的感受:“十年辛苦不寻常”！
In celebrating the 10th anniversary of the NSFC in 1996, the Department of Management Science was formally established on the basis of the former Scientific Management Group. This is a joyous event for the vast numbers of scientific and technical personnel and professionals engaged in the management and administration of science. It is also the result of 10 years of efforts and appeals by the relevant personnel of the former Management Science Group and the beginning of a new starting point for our country's management science. I am honored to be the former member of the Science Management Group Discipline Panel for many years. Today, I am extremely excited about the establishment of the Department of Management Science. I can not help but think of the feeling of Cao Xueqin when he wrote The Dream of Red Mansions: “Ten Years of Uncomfortable Work!”
