旅行对于从非洲大陆流散至美洲的非裔美国人而言是至关重要的,而旅行书写在非裔美国文学的萌芽和发展阶段也尤为关键。本文选取了大西洋奴隶贸易与废奴运动两个非裔美国人进行了大规模集体性旅行的时期,总结了这两段时期非裔美国人旅行书写的社会背景、主要作品及特点并试图说明非裔美国人是如何通过旅行书写反映其奴隶制度下遭受的苦难,并如何冲破艰难险阻,不断形成自我意识、走向成熟并重塑家园的努力。
Traveling is of crucial importance to African Americans who have been dispersed from the African continent to the Americas, and travel writing is also crucial in the embryonic and developmental stages of African American literature. This article chooses the period of large-scale collective traveling of two African Americans, including the Atlantic slave trade and the abolitionist movement. It summarizes the social background, major works and characteristics of African Americans’ travel writing in these two periods and tries to explain the non- How Americans of American Descent Reflect the Sufferings of Their Slave System through Traveling and How to Break Through Difficulties and Difficulties, Continuously Forming Self-Consciousness, Mature and Reshaping Their Homes.
