龙潭文学社成立于2001年，现有社员800多人，辅导老师42人。主倡“原生态写作”，从生活中寻找写作灵感，培养发展学生的写作兴趣和潜力。社员先后在全国省市文学报刊上发表作品86篇，在各项中学生作文竞赛中获奖200多次。文学社长期开展文学采风活动，办有文学社刊物《龙潭文学》。
