比起法国、意大利这些欧洲美食国,德国人在吃上似乎单调许多。他们的菜谱几乎“周”而复始,少有变化。用“大块吃肉、大碗筛酒”这句形容英雄豪爽举止的话来描述德国人的饮食,似乎比较贴切。德国人尤其偏爱猪肉。据统计,德国人每人每年的猪肉消耗量为六十多公斤,高居世界首位。由于偏好猪肉,大部分有名的德国菜都是猪肉制品,最有名的一道德国菜是酸卷心菜上铺满各式香肠及火腿肉,有时甚至用一整只猪后腿代替香肠及火腿。那炖得烂熟的一整只猪腿,令人望而生畏,德国人却可以面不改色一个人吃掉。 Compared to France, Italy, these European food countries, the German people seem to eat monotonous many.
