单元整体教学能够让每一个板块的内容通过千丝万缕的联系分步处理单元的重难点,知识由开始的点到线,最后覆盖整个单元主题,从不同的侧重点逐个击破重难点,也是编委们的初衷。然而,板块的特点不同,有时也很难体现单元的整体性,译林新版《英语》教材中,课文和后面的Fun time,Checkout time,Ticking time板块连接较容易些,而对于Sound time,Culture time和Cartoon time三大板块的教学却表现出把握不够的现象。
