Papilledema (Optic-Disc Edema) Abbreviation (ODE) is a problem often encountered in ophthalmology. It is not an independent disease, but a typical sign, especially for intracranial tumors caused by increased intracranial pressure of ODE, has great clinical significance. The shape of the fundus of papilledema is roughly similar to that of optic neuritis, but its clinical significance and developmental process are different. ODE is the result of elevated cerebral subarachnoid pressure rather than inflammation. Although the history of the ODE has existed for more than 100 years now, many people still have a lot of ambiguities about it.
