William Wordsworth wrote a series of poems to eulogize nature and women. However, with his background of living in the industrial society, patriarchal values was inevitably showed in his poems. The poem To the Same Flower(second poem) is an example. In this poem, the poet compares daisy to women, and thus shows his idea that nature, like women, is deprived to a meek, obedient and silent tool to comfort men’s heart.
