本文基于外语学习的需求分析模式,回顾和反思了中国大学英语教学大纲目标对英语应用能力描述变化的历史沿革,梳理了大纲文件的语言目标、社会及个人目标、课程相关目标对应用能力培养的认识。围绕对《大学英语教学指南(送审稿)》(简称《指南》)的分析,重点讨论了语言基础与语言应用,语言学习的现实需求与未来需求,语域选择与语言工具性的体现,自主学习能力、跨文化意识的培养与语言人文性的体现等问题。文章认为:(1)大学英语教学应该坚持以使用为导向,以应用能力培养为重点。在实践中放弃语言应用与语言基础的分离,强调在应用中发展语言能力。(2)英语学习不仅仅需要反映学生的未来需求,还必须考虑他们的现实需求,使英语学习与学生当下的学习生活紧密相关。“语域”的引入是《指南》的一个重要特色,是语言工具性的体现,便于学校根据学校、学生的实际需求选择恰当的语域组织教学。(3)强调人文性是语言教育的重要内容,是学校教育价值在外语课程中的体现。其主要目标包括:(1)自主学习能力的发展,确保英语学习的可持续发展;(2)注重跨文化交际能力的发展,增加语言使用的有效性;(3)拓展学生的全球视野,促进文化素养的提高。文章通过对这些问题的讨论,以期对理解和贯彻《指南》精神、深化大学英语教学改革、提升大学生的英语应用能力有所启示。
Based on the pattern of needs analysis in foreign language learning, this paper reviews and reflects on the historical evolution of the changes in the application of English syllabus in China’s Syllabus, combs the language, social and personal goals of the Syllabus, understanding. Focusing on the analysis of the Guide to College English Teaching (Draft for Review) (the “Guide”), the paper mainly discusses the basic and linguistic applications of language, the practical needs and future needs of language learning, the choice of register and language tools, Self-learning ability, cross-cultural awareness and language and humanistic expression and other issues. The article thinks: (1) College English teaching should adhere to the use-oriented, focusing on the application of capacity-building. Give up in practice the separation of language application and language foundation, emphasizing the development of language ability in the application. (2) English learning not only needs to reflect the future needs of students, but also must consider their real needs, so that English learning and students’ immediate learning life closely related. The introduction of “Register ” is an important feature of the Guidebook. It is a manifestation of language instrumentalities that facilitate schools to organize their teaching in the appropriate domain according to the actual needs of schools and students. (3) Emphasize that humanity is an important part of language education and an expression of school education value in foreign language courses. Its main objectives include: (1) developing autonomous learning capabilities to ensure the sustainable development of English learning; (2) focusing on the development of intercultural communicative competence and increasing the effectiveness of language use; and (3) expanding students’ global perspective and promoting Cultural literacy improved. Through the discussion of these issues, the article hopes to understand and implement the spirit of the Guide, deepen the reform of college English teaching, improve college students’ ability to apply English have implications.
