泰国全国共有港口37个,按照其功能可分两类。第一类是从事国际贸易能停靠大型远洋船的港口,例如地处昭披耶河河口上游左岸的曼谷港,位于东部沿海地区的西拉查(Si Racha)港,来姆查本(Laem Chabang)港,沙他黑普(Sattahip)港,马布他普德(Mabu Tapud)港和南部濒临泰国湾的宋卡(Songkhla)港,以及处于安达曼海边的普吉(Phuket)等各港。第二类港是服务沿海航线的国内贸易港、其它30个港口大部分是允许船舶吃水从1—2米到5—6米的小型船。 泰国的海运目前还处于摇篮期,远洋船队保有量不足100艘,总吨位不足100万载重吨。从事运洋运输的公司有44家,其中40家承运杂货,4家运油。最大的航运公司有船不过3—4艘,3—4万载重吨,在世界上属于小型航运公司。泰国沿海尚有许多有待开发的资源,今后随着国内经济的发展,海运发展前景看好。
There are 37 ports in Thailand, which can be divided into two categories according to their functions. The first is for ports of international trade that can dock large ocean-going vessels such as Bangkok Harbor on the left bank upstream of the Chao Phraya estuary, the port of Si Racha in the eastern coastal region, Laem Chabang Hong Kong, Sattahip, Mabu Tapud and Songkhla in the south on the Thai Gulf and Phuket in the Andaman Sea. The second type of port is the domestic trading port serving the coastal routes. The other 30 ports are mostly small vessels that allow ships to draft from 1-2 m to 5-6 m. Thailand’s maritime transport is still in its infancy, with less than 100 ocean-going fleets remaining, with a total tonnage of less than 1 million deadweight tons. There are 44 companies engaged in shipping overseas, of which 40 carry groceries and four carry oil. The largest shipping companies have 3-4 but three to four million dwt ships and are small shipping companies in the world. There are many resources to be developed along the coast of Thailand. In the future, with the development of the domestic economy, the prospects for the development of maritime transportation will be promising.
