I admire the rich imagination of our predecessors and translate the mausoleums of Pharaohs of Egypt into “pyramids,” translating the signs of Catholicism and Christianity into “the cross.” Not only meets Yan Fu’s translation of the three principles of “letter, up, elegant,” the standard, but also fully reflects the pictographic function of Chinese characters. I am also very surprised at the current lack of urgency of the translator. After all, new things, especially electrical appliances, which are pouring in after another, are simply unable to be named after Chinese characters. They have no choice but to make “Karaoke”, “VCD” and “BP Machine” Unscrupulous to mix Chinese characters. If the ancestral characters Cang Jie made the world again, see these foreign words sandwiched in the middle of the word block, it will be issued a deep sigh, right?
