1982年以来,陕西地区有13所地方高校获准国家自然科学基金资助,受资助项目413个,占全国总资助项目的3.9％,占高等学校受资助项目的5.5％;资助金额1338.92万元,占全国总资助金额的3.8％,占高校受资助金额的5.6％。经统计,截止1987年底,已完成研究项目97项,其中有58项成果通过评审或鉴定。有34项重要成果受到国家、部委和省级奖励。其中获国家自然科学奖2项,国家科技进步奖1项,国家发明奖1项。撰写学术论文和专著1605篇(部),其中在国际学术会议上宣读175篇,全国性学术会议宣读326篇,全国性或国外学术刊物发表589篇,出版专著30部。
